Similar to the PowerTraveller Powermonkey Extreme the Powermonkey Extreme Tactical is tough, waterproof and rugged. 

The Extreme Tactical includes additional features suited for military personnel or those of us who want a proven tactical portable solar charger. 

Utilising an amazing powerful state-of-the-art 9000 mAh capacity Lithium Polymer battery in a compact durable shell the Extreme is capable of recharging most 5 volt devices via USB. 

Like the standard Extreme the Tactical also includes a 12 volt DC output port that is capable of charging SLR camera batteries, heavy duty torches and two-way radios directly from the unit.

Powermonkey Extreme's are manufactured in the US and include world renowned Blue Force Gear. Be Force Gear utilise the new MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) attachment system. The material utilised is incredibly durable and laser cut to meet military standards of modularity, durability and legacy system compatibility. The Tactical Extreme also feature a night vision LCD screen as opposed to the standard blue screen

Charging

The powermonkey Tactical eXtreme can be recharged in three ways:

• via the solar panel
• via the universal mains charger
• via USB conncetion

The rugged clam-shell solar panel offers 3 watt max output so you can recharge the Powermonkey Extreme Tactical within 18-22 hours in optimum light conditions. 

The inclusion of state-of-the-art MPPT technology (maximum power point tracker) enables the solar panel to recharge even in low light conditions. Expect to charge your iPhone or smartphone between 2-4 times depending on the model, whilst iPads should see up to 2 charges. Garmin and SLR cameras usually get 2-6 charges depending on the model.

Waterproof

The Powermonkey Extreme is completely waterproof, however if you plan on charging whilst near water i.e. sea kayaking, mountaineering, back country skiing we recommend using the PowerTraveller Aquastrap for complete water protection.

Add an LCD screen and you will always know your battery level. The Extreme Tactical is also shock resistant and so perfect for military operations or those who want one of the toughest devices on the planet!

To Operate:

• Slide finger across friction swipe control from left to right to turn ON
• Slide finger across friction swipe control from right to left to turn OFF
• Whilst the unit is ON, double tap the friction swipe to activate permanent ON feature
• Cancel permanent ON feature by tapping the friction swipe once more
• Touch the friction swipe during operation to view battery capacity. LCD screen will switch off after 5 seconds to save power
• Whilst the unit is recharging, the LCD screen will be red, once fully charged, the screen will turn green. When the unit is in use, the screen will be blue!
